Klaas called the consulate in Amsterdam and they do the direct consular filing.
(DCF)
Asked to send the needed forms.
October 15, 2000
Klaas received the so called packet #1 In the package was a instruction what
we need to do,
Also the I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) and two G-325 forms (Biographic
information).
October 16, 2000
Klaas asked the "Vreemdelingenpolitie" (foreign police) to send
an application and instructions for a D79.
October 20, 2000 Klaas requested two birth certificates for international use. October 20 - November 5, 2000 Eileen collected her papers with an apostille. (but there is a story around
it see apostille) Birth-certificate All papers where scanned and send to Klaas with e-mail. November 6, 2000 Appointment at city-hall to show the scanned papers to find out if its enough
to receive a license to marry (ondertrouw) ......YES it was all we need....!!!!! December 2000 We think all our paperwork is prepared so now we have to wait until it is
January 2001 January 8, 2001 City hall Papendrecht we delivered our paperwork for
the marriage license and
we have our ondertrouw. January 23,2001 Our marriage in Dordrecht January 25, 2001 We did the DCF procedure
(I-130 packet 1) at the Consulate in
Amsterdam and it was approved. !!!!!!!! Because of our preparation we also turned in the
checklist of packet 3 with the OF-230 part 1. February 23, 2001 Received packet 4 (appointments and forms) March 12, 2001 Appointment for the medical examination March 20, 2001 Interview appointment for the visa application March 30, 2001 Going home.................
One for city-hall (ondertrouw) and one for the consulate
Just call city-hall of birth, pay and most will send them to you.
